Category – Family and thrills, Duration – 128 minutes, Score – 3.5/5

Title – Week End, Producer – D Manjunath, Direction – Sringeri Suresh, Music – Manoj, Cinematography – Shashidhar, Cast – Milind, Anant Nag, Gopinath Bhat, Sanjana Burli, Nagabhushan, Ninasam Raghu, Navaneeth, Natana Prashanth, Neethu Bala, Veena Jayashanker, Bank Satish, Shivakumar, Sanjay Nagesh, Manjunatha Shastri and others.

A clever thinker and neat presenter Sringeri Suresh has come up with an up to date cinema and passes a lovely message for those who enjoy ‘Week End’ with activities that is not tune with their life.

At one point of time Anant Nag as Ananth Ram has given a brief lecture at a police station – this in fact holds the mirror for everyone – the burn out cases at 30 plus can take lessons. For the hullaballoo happening for techies at the Week End parties and sojourns, director gives a best spending that is also service oriented and stress buster too!

Techies with ‘Tekkila’ on Week Ends big worry and it spoils their own future. Working very hard from Monday to Friday and spending for losing good health is the concern expressed by director in this film. A software professional in this film looking at the good fortune for bookings for Week End leaves his job and takes up this as profession.

We have a guy Ajay (Milind) a precise soft ware looking. He has been groomed so well by his grandfather Ananth Ram (Anant Nag) and you would feel one such delectable person in every home. The dialogue of Anant Nag that we have flowers and thorns in our life – without thorn disturbing our life we have to go ahead is a commendable advice indeed.

This grandfather and grandson combination is the first winner from Sringeri Suresh. Knowing the requirements of box office and present day cinema goers director brings in some gripping elements that even draws a strict cop – played by producer D Manjunath.

On the other hand we have a rogue father and a sweet daughter for him Anu (Sanjana Burli). This is a case of two extremities.

In one of the revenge case a few developments connects Ajay, Anu and colleagues of Ajay. When Ajay is disturbed his grandfather Anant Ram is not ready to accept it. He calls up the commissioner of police for right treatment to the obstacles around. How the obstacles are crossed is interesting part that has a few twists in the tale.

Milind looks handsome. He is in Pukka software guy with principles. This is what the software guys should inculcate. A beautiful heroine Sanjana Burli with good capabilities has arrived from this film. D Manjunath as cop has the rare style. No need to import actors for such roles for Kannada films.

The funny portions are handled by Nagabhushan, a few of the theatre actors have done their best especially the sister character and performer in Raksha role is daring.

Two songs are on top from music composer and the cinematography gives very shining and colorful moments for the eyes.

This is a film you have to watch with family. The software guys please take not of good elements of this film for your better life.
